Energy Code Compliance Becomes Part of City Inspections

As of September 1, 2002, the
state of Texas is requiring that all new construction, additions,
rehabilitations, or HVAC upgrades to higher tonnage conform to
the International Energy Code of 2000.
All applicable work done under City of Houston Permits will be
required to pass energy code inspections. For more information,
